1987 Porsche 911 Turbo

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1987 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe (930). This 930 is a well-sorted example finished in striking black over black leather interior and showing 43,000 miles. After a hiatus from the U.S. market for several years, the 930 was reintroduced for the 1986 model year -- it was the fastest production car on offer at the time, and its reputation as a challenging-yet -rewarding and oh-so-sexy sports car has never diminished.

This example spent some time as a street-legal track/DE car in the 2000s with a long-term owner. It was acquired by a new owner in 2014 who embarked on a two-year professional refurbishment at a cost of over $50,000 to return it to mostly stock, street car specifications. Work included a full, high-quality, glass-out repaint in correct code A1 Black (the car has never been color changed) with all new rubbers. A nice black leather interior was installed, and aside from one split seam on the driver's seat bottom it remains in excellent condition. The engine was fully rebuilt during this time as well (a series-correct type 930 3.3 from 1988), along with an A/C system rebuild, new clutch, brake work, etc.

The present owner, an avid Porsche collector here in Georgia, bought the car in 2019. Under his ownership it has recevied a top-end engine rebuild, new B&B exhaust, rebuilt waste gate, CIS system rebuild and tuning, Bilstein dampers, alignment and more. It has been slightly lowered and is wearing beautiful 17-inch Fuchs-style wheels. It runs, drives and sounds great and of course it's quite fast. All factory VIN stickers are in place and match except for the decklid. Clean CarFax report with no accidents. Working A/C. Books, tool roll, collapsible spare, original exhaust and COA are included. Extensive records are organized in a three-ring binder dating to the early 2000s including the 2014-16 refurbishment and all work since.
